Mead Composition notebooks used to have nice, thick, sturdy, durable covers. Not anymore. Upon receiving my order, I was appalled to find that these notebooks now have a much thinner cover, which means that they will not stand up to the abuse of younger grade school students (Pre-K - K).

I buy these when doing labs in school to keep track of my data. I always seen these sell for more than $3, its even a better deal if you are part of that prime club thingy where two day shipping is free.

This black and white school journal is of good quality, but is very expensive. I payed over $4 for a journal that I could have gotten for $0.36 at a Staples.

By themselves, for less than a dollar, these composition books are a great value. However a few months ago I stumbled across the Refillable Genuine Leather Composition Notebook, Saddle. It turns these gradeschool staples into something that looks and feels like a quality, "adult" accessory.

The notebook is fine, but when I went to Walmart, I saw the same books for half the price. I think I'm getting too lazy buying things on Amazon and didn't even bother looking somewhere else first.
