Good replacement for my old Panasonic electric sharpener September 5, 2010 D. P. Taylor (East Coast, USA) We had a Panasonic Sharpener for many years, and when it needed replacement I thought I'd get another Panasonic. Well, the only good one was WAY TOO MUCH money, and this was the next best rated sharpener. It's working fine and as long as you listen as you sharpen your pencils you will not over-sharpen them. Satisfied and hope to get many years from this item.
Nice unit - when it's not overheated August 19, 2010 Luan C. Do (Vienna, VA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We bought the heavy-duty X-Acto electrical AND a heavy-duty X-Acto mechanical pencil sharpener recently. The electrical one got over-heated after about sharpening 20 new pencils. The mechanical one had no problem. If you don't mind it shutting down for about 30 minutes with each heavy and continuous use, or its big and bulky footprint, get the electrical one. I personally would not recommend this model to anyone.

Best I've Used! July 20, 2010 Donald Newbold (Rushville, Indiana, US) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was a little hesitant with the price, but decided to give it a try. I have been nothing but happy with the overall performance and the price fits! This is truely the best sharpener I have used!
Worked for few days :( June 23, 2010 M. Majmundar (Texas) 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
Based on the reviews, I bought the sharpner. I wanted to buy Panasonic but they are not available anymore, it seems. I was refunded in full by Amazon. But, it is always a pain to re-package the item, go to the post office etc., The pencil kept on circling inside the sharpner without getting sharpened.
